Turkish alternative rock favourites Adamlar return to Islington Assembly Hall on Sunday, 8 November, bringing their distinctive blend of powerful riffs, sharp storytelling and songs that get under your skin.

The London date comes just days after the release of their latest single, N’aptın Kendinle, and follows a period of change for the band, who resumed activities with a refreshed line-up this year after announcing a hiatus in September 2025. For British fans, it is a chance to reconnect with familiar favourites while discovering what comes next.

Led by singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Tolga Akdoğan, Adamlar have carved out their own space in Türkiye’s alternative music scene. Their sound draws on rock, Turkish folk and blues, with detours into reggae, electronica and hip hop, while their lyrics find room for melancholy, humour and the absurdities of everyday life. Songs such as Sarılırım Birine and Acının İlacı capture that ability to turn life’s emotional tangles into something listeners can share.

T-VINE last previewed the band in December 2023, ahead of their UK debut at this same venue on 27 January 2024. There has been plenty happening since.

November 2024 brought Kahırlı Merdiven, a nine-track album marking their tenth anniversary. Released through Sony Music Türkiye, it paired their energetic rock sound with the irony, emotional intensity and thoughtful lyrics that have become their calling card. A vinyl edition followed in September 2025.

They also opened up their back catalogue to fresh interpretations through the REMIXES #01 project in 2025, with producers including Kerem Gell, Hanao, Emre Malikler and Anatolian Sessions reworking their songs. That spirit of experimentation continued this April, when electronic duo Funktakl gave Mezara Kadar a new treatment combining drum ’n’ bass rhythms with Anatolian samples.

The biggest turning point came in September 2025, when Adamlar announced they were temporarily halting activities and cancelling their forthcoming concerts. Their return in 2026 has brought a changed line-up, with Akdoğan remaining at the centre of the group.

Their newest release, N’aptın Kendinle [What Have You Done with Yourself?], arrived on 30 October. Written and composed by Akdoğan, with arrangement and production credited to Adamlar, the single gives fans something fresh to get acquainted with before Sunday’s gig.

Presented by Gigue Production, the London concert is being promoted as the opening of a new era. With more than a decade of music behind them and a fresh chapter underway, it is a timely opportunity to catch Adamlar back on a London stage.
