Turkish businessman Turhan Mildon has made international headlines after marrying Alina Habba, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, at New York’s Waldorf Astoria on 26 September.
Described as a billionaire by NDTV and other media outlets, the groom heads a family business with an expanding international footprint. Here are seven things to know about the newlyweds.
1. Turhan Mildon’s family’s business began in 1967
Mildon is CEO of Miller Holding and a third-generation representative of the family business. His grandfather, Muhsin Turhan Mildon, founded Miller Oto in 1967. The group’s interests now include construction, energy, mining, automotive and shipping.
2. Business interests that stretch into Africa
Through its subsidiary Milvest, the group built the Kinshasa Congress and Financial Center in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which opened in 2023. Its portfolio also includes housing and arena projects there, alongside a development near Kumasi Airport in Ghana.
3. The football connection
Alongside his corporate role, Mildon serves as vice chairman of Turkish Süper Lig football club Çorum FK — giving him a profile in sport as well as business.
4. His bride rose to prominence representing Trump
Habba, 42, became a familiar face through her work as Trump’s lawyer and legal spokesperson. She subsequently served as a White House adviser and acting US attorney for New Jersey, resigning from the latter role in December 2025 after courts ruled her appointment unlawful.
5. A mutual friend introduced them
Mildon said the couple met through a mutual friend serving as an ambassador in the United States. Addressing speculation about their political connections, he told Türkiye Today: “This marriage has no political purpose.”
6. Both have been married before
This is Habba’s third marriage, following her marriages to lawyer Matthew Eyet and businessman Gregg Reuben. She has two children, Luke and Chloe, with Eyet. Mildon’s previous marriage ended in divorce in 2024, according to NDTV.
7. Their wedding brought together politics and showbiz
Guests included boxing legend Mike Tyson, FBI Director Kash Patel and US Attorney General Todd Blanche, while rapper Nelly reportedly performed at the afterparty. The New York Post cited a source estimating the celebration’s cost at around $10 million. Trump himself did not attend.
